Congratulations on your engagement! What an exciting time in your life! Exciting but hectic right? I want to help make your big day a little less stressful. Sam & Tayler were married on a beautiful Fall day in late October. The getting ready, ceremony, and reception all took place at the beautiful NAV Centre.
When I was capturing the girls getting ready it took me awhile to figure out that the maid of honour and another bridesmaid were identical twins. It actually took them being in the same room getting ready at the same time to figure it out!
The ceremony in particular stands out as it was located on a hill overlooking the lovely St. Lawrence River and was surrounded by some beautiful Fall foliage. After the lovely outdoor ceremony took place, the wedding party and I took a quick walk to the portrait location. While doing my ever popular “Pretend like it’s the last beer in the world prompt”, for the first time the guys took my out while racing for the beer! Don’t worry me and my camera were fine, but I’m not kidding when I say that guys take this prompt very seriously!!
The dinner and reception were a blast and I not only enjoyed my fellow dinner table guests, but all of the dance floor antics! There were some truly great moves that night.
One of the bridesmaids had a young daughter in attendance, and every time that I went to take a picture of her she held up one of the instant camera’s to her face. Future photographer? I think so!
Congratulations Samantha & Taylor! It was so great meeting and working with you both!
Angie & Bryan were married three days after Christmas, so as you can imagine everything was very festive. This day was full of sparkle, elegance and even a beautiful ice sculpture.
Weddings at the Nav Centre are always lovely and you have to love it when their Christmas tree in the main lobby matched the bridal parties outfits!
Since the majority of the images were taken inside, we explored every inch of the huge Nav Centre. We found some hidden gems and some beautiful architecture to highlight the bride and groom.
The dinner and reception room looked unbelievable and was full of sparkles and glamour. There were not one but two gorgeous wedding cakes. One of the cakes as well as the wedding favours, were a nod to the fact that Bryan is a pharmacist that owns two local pharmacies. There was an amazing ice sculpture that drinks were poured out of. It was truly incredible!
To say that I ended my 2019 wedding season on a high note would be an understatement. This day was so beautiful and to be surrounded by so many wonderful people was a real joy. Congratulations Angie & Bryan on your new journey together!
On November 30th Lj and David said their “I Do’s” at the Cornwall City Hall. It was extremely intimate as they decided not to tell anyone and Eloped! Lj looked effortlessly chic in her dress and added a touch or whimsy by wearing white sneakers. David wore his suit with sneakers as well, but my favourite touch was the three buttons on his suit. They represented their 3 cherished fur babies that are such a big part of their life! Lj designed her simple, but lovely bouquet which stood out beautifully in the photos. We took the bulk of the photos at Cornwall’s lovely Eco Gardens. Even though it was November and chilly, I am thrilled with how their images turned out. They were happy, carefree and easy going which shows in the final product. Congratulations to you both!!
I know that the months leading up to your wedding day are really busy. Many people ask why do we need an engagement session done? It’s important for several reasons. It gives us a chance to work together and get to know each other before the wedding. It helps you to practice and relax in front of the camera before the big day. Your engagement session can also serve as a makeup and hair trial.
It’s complimentary with all of my wedding packages, so why not take advantage of it!
