Tara and Josh’s love story started way back in high school where they both attended Char-Lan District High School!
In Tara’s words, this is how Josh asked her out 11 years ago. “To show what a true romantic Josh is, he made a scavenger hunt of roses around Williamstown. (A truly fairy tale) he placed a single rose and a letter at important locations around the village. He drove his truck to each stop and I got out read the letter and went on to the next rose. Each letter was a different memory we shared. The first time he saw me in grade 5, our first kiss, etc. Then the final stop was at the bridge we took our engagement photos at. And there he had a Bouquet of roses and a final letter asking if he could be my official Prince Charming.” This was on Sept 8th, 2007. Their wedding day was Sept 8th, 2018, exactly 11 years later.
Josh proposed to Tara on a beautiful winter day (St. Patty’s day to be exact), while snowshoeing with their dog Hennessy, on the property where they would later get married.
The property happened to be the family cottage in Bainsville. After a long drive down the tree lined dirt driveway, the trees made way to a beautiful cottage and property overlooking the St. Lawrence River. I knew that it was going to be a great wedding when I spotted the canoe full of beers and coolers on ice!
The ceremony was lovely and the pictures afterward were fun and went smoothly. The wedding party then gathered on the party bus and we headed to where it all started, Char-Lan High School. We took a few shots at their old lockers and even in their former classroom.
After we got everyone loaded back onto the bus, we headed to our final stop, The Bonnie Glen in Alexandria. This was my first time inside, and let me tell you, I was blown away with how beautiful it was! The decor was stunning and all of the extra details that were added to make it more personal, did not go unnoticed.
